The house

Nothing here is made quickly, because nothing made quickly is worth keeping.

Bridal couture

Between four and nine kilograms of hand embroidery, worked panel by panel over ten months.

Dressed together

We work both sides in the same palette, so the photographs agree with each other.

Behind the craft

Zardozi, gota patti, aari, chikankari. Each one a separate apprenticeship, most of them seven years long.

The fabric library

Every fabric the house works in, with its weight, its origin, and honestly how it ages.

Custom commissions

Six to ten months, five fittings, and nothing on the rail like it.

The men's house

Twelve measurements, a hand-padded canvas, and a shoulder we will not compromise on.

The women's house

A French seam and a chikankari panel on the same garment, and the whole job is hiding the join.

The season of light

Festive dressing is repeat dressing. These pieces are built to be re-styled, not retired.

Wrapped in silk

A khadi-covered box, a hand-tied ribbon, and a card the studio writes itself.
